Membership Terms and Conditions

Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to prescribe the rights, duties, and responsibilities of the website and its users in using the internet homepage services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") operated by Lienjang Plastic Surgery Hospital (hereinafter referred to as the "Hospital").

Article 2 (Definition of Terms)

The definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions are as follows:

  • (1) "Site" refers to a virtual space established by the Hospital so that it can provide services using information and communication facilities such as computers.
  • (2) "Service" refers to all internet-based services provided on the Hospital's homepage and other internet sites operated by the Hospital.
  • (3) "Member (User)" refers to a person who agrees to these Terms and Conditions, logs into the internet homepage, and receives the services provided by the Hospital in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  • (4) "Operator" refers to a person selected by the Hospital for the overall management and smooth operation of the Service.
  • (5) "ID" refers to the login name that a Member uses to access this Site in order to receive the Service.
  • (6) "Password" refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by the Member and approved by the Company to protect the Member's privacy, verify the Member's identity, and ensure the security of various information provided in the Service.
  • (7) "Personal Information" refers to information that can identify a specific individual by matters such as name, Resident Registration Number, etc., included in the relevant information.
  • (8) Members are classified into general Members and Operators, and each member has the following authorities:
    - Member: A person who accesses the site, registers as an online member of Lienjang Plastic Surgery Hospital in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and receives the services provided by Lienjang Plastic Surgery Hospital.
    - Operator: An ID issued by the chief administrator to manage the Hospital's internet homepage, allowing the operator to run and manage the homepage within the scope of authority assigned to them.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms and Conditions)
  • (1) These Terms and Conditions shall become effective when the Hospital posts them on the service screen or notifies members by other methods.
  • (2) The Hospital may amend these Terms and Conditions within a scope that does not violate relevant laws and regulations if there are unavoidable circumstances.
  • (3) The Hospital may amend these Terms and Conditions in the event of changes in circumstances or significant operational reasons, and the amended Terms and Conditions shall become effective upon being posted or notified in the same manner as the preceding paragraph.
  • (4) Matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions and the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by relevant laws, regulations, or commercial practices.
Article 4 (Content and Modification of Service)
  • (1) The Hospital provides the following services:
    a. General guidance services provided by the Hospital
    b. Hospital news email services
    c. Hospital online counseling and reservation services
    d. Section and content services for the Hospital's online members
    e. Other services determined by the Hospital
  • (2) The Hospital may change the content of the services provided if there are unavoidable circumstances. In this case, the content of the modified service and the date of provision shall be specified and posted on the service screen or notified to members by other methods.
  • (3) The Hospital shall not be liable to compensate for any damages suffered by users due to changes in the service content, except in cases where there is intentional intent or gross negligence on the part of the Hospital.
Article 5 (Suspension of Service)
  • (1) The provision of the Service may be restricted or suspended for a certain period due to unavoidable reasons such as maintenance, inspection, and breakdown of devices including systems, temporary communication disruptions, service development, regular system inspections, or emergency measures.
  • (2) The Hospital shall not be liable to compensate for any damages incurred by users or third parties due to the temporary suspension of the service provision for the reasons stated in Paragraph (1), except in cases where there is intentional intent or gross negligence on the part of the Hospital.
Chapter 2: Membership Registration and Withdrawal
Article 6 (Membership Registration)
  • (1) A user applies for membership registration by filling in their member information according to the form prescribed by the Hospital and expressing their intent to agree to these Terms and Conditions.
  • (2) The Hospital shall register any user who applies to become a member as described in the preceding paragraph, unless they fall under any of the following items:
    a. Applying under another person's name
    b. The applicant has previously lost their membership status in accordance with Article 7, Paragraph (2) or (3) of these Terms and Conditions
    c. There are false entries, omissions, or typos in the application form
    d. It is judged that registering the user as a member would significantly hinder the performance of the Hospital's business Operations
  • (3) The membership contract shall be established at the time the Hospital grants its approval.
  • (4) When a member's personal information changes, they shall modify it via the internet using the following method:
    a. Modify it through 'Edit Member Information' after logging into the homepage.
Article 7 (Membership Withdrawal and Loss of Qualifications)
  • (1) A member may request to withdraw from the Hospital at any time, and the Hospital shall process the withdrawal immediately.
    However, the request for withdrawal must be made via the internet, and the withdrawal will be processed after undergoing a personal verification procedure to protect personal information. After withdrawal, all information except for the ID will be deleted. For clinical members, the Hospital's patient-related information will not be deleted and will remain stored. (2) The Hospital may terminate a member's qualification if the member falls under any of the following reasons:
    a. Entering false information in the member details
    b. Threatening order by interfering with another person's use of the service or stealing their information
    c. Providing information obtained through the service to a third party for purposes other than the member's personal use without the Hospital's permission
    d. Interfering with the operation of the homepage, such as changing information provided within the Hospital
    e. It is deemed inappropriate to continue the user's qualification as a member for other reasons
Article 8 (Re-registration of Membership)

If a former member who withdrew in accordance with Article 7 of these Terms and Conditions wishes to re-register, they may do so by registering as a member in accordance with Article 6 of these Terms and Conditions.

Article 9 (Collection of Personal Information)
  • (1) The Hospital may collect personal information of users necessary for the smooth utilization of this Service.
  • (2) When collecting a user's personal information, the consent of the relevant user shall be obtained, except in the following cases:
    a. Where there are special provisions in the law
    b. Where it is necessary for the performance of the service utilization contract
  • (3) The Hospital must take technical measures necessary to secure safety so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, or altered.
  • (4) The provided personal information cannot be used for purposes other than intended or provided to a third party without the consent of the user, except in the following cases:
    a. Where there are special provisions in the law
    b. User authentication procedures
    c. Smooth operation of the Hospital website and utilization as statistical analysis data
    d. Providing data in a form that cannot identify a specific individual, which is necessary for statistics compilation, academic research, or market research
Chapter 4: Limitation of Liability Regarding Internet Medical Appointment Services
Article 10 (Application and Establishment of Medical Appointment)
  • (1) Users apply for a medical appointment on the homepage using the following method:
    (Providing necessary details for reservation such as name, phone number, appointment date, and treatment items)
  • (2) The Hospital shall accept the reservation application mentioned in Paragraph (1), unless it falls under any of the following reasons:
    a. There are false entries, omissions, or typos in the application details
    b. It is judged that accepting the reservation application would significantly hinder technical operations
    c. It is determined that online medical appointments are unavailable for a specific doctor or medical department due to Hospital policy
  • (3) When a user uses the online medical appointment service, the user is deemed to agree to the following matters:
    a. Cancellation and modification through the internet appointment service are limited to reservations established through the online medical appointment service.
Chapter 5: Duties of the Hospital and Users
Article 11 (Duties of the Hospital)
  • (1) Unless there are special circumstances such as system checks, service development, communication failure, or other force majeure events, the Hospital has an obligation to provide stable services continuously as prescribed by these Terms and Conditions and the consent form.
  • (2) The Hospital shall do its best for the information security of users by devising technical safety measures and managing the security of personal identification information, including credit information, with utmost care.
  • (3) Members may view their personal information at any time and request corrections for incorrect information from the Hospital or the privacy officer.
Article 12 (Duties of Users)
  • (1) Users must not engage in the following acts when using the Service:
    a. Registering false information when applying or changing details
    b. Illegally using another person's Resident Registration Number or Password
    c. Changing information posted on the homepage
    d. Using information obtained through the service for reproduction, performance, broadcasting, exhibition, distribution, publication, or providing it to a third party through copying, processing, translating, or secondary works, etc., other than for the member's personal use
    e. Damaging the reputation of or causing disadvantage to others
    f. Infringing upon the copyrights of the Hospital, third-party copyrights, or other rights
    g. Distributing information, sentences, symbols, sounds, etc., to others that violate public order and good morals
    h. Acts objectively recognized as being linked to a crime
    i. Registering or distributing computer virus infection materials that cause malfunction of facilities related to the service or destruction and confusion of information, etc.
    j. Transmitting information that could interfere with the stable operation of the service, or transmitting advertising information against the recipient's will
    k. Other acts that violate relevant laws and regulations or Hospital regulations
  • (2) If a member commits an act corresponding to Paragraph (1), the Hospital may terminate the member's qualification in an appropriate manner as prescribed in Article 7, Paragraph (2) of these Terms and Conditions.
  • (3) Members shall be liable to compensate for any damages suffered by the Hospital or other members due to reasons attributable to them.
  • (4) Users must fulfill the following obligations regarding the use of IDs and passwords when using the Service:
    a. When using the Hospital homepage services, users must use their own ID and password.
    b. All management responsibility concerning the ID and password rests with the user.
    c. Users must not allow third parties to use their ID and password.
    d. The user shall bear all responsibilities resulting from poor management of their ID and password.
    e. If a user recognizes that their ID and password have been stolen or are being used by a third party, they must immediately notify the Hospital and follow the Hospital's guidance, if any.
Chapter 6: Miscellaneous
Article 13 (Deletion of Public Posts, etc.)

If the content of a user's public post falls under any of the following items, the "Hospital" may restrict access to, suspend, or delete the public post without prior notice to the user, and may restrict, suspend, or terminate the membership qualification of the relevant user.

  • a. When a right holder requests the suspension or deletion of the post in accordance with the procedures prescribed by relevant laws
  • b. When it infringes upon the rights of others, such as defaming the user or a third party
  • c. When it violates public order and good morals
  • d. When it is judged to be related to criminal activity
  • e. When advertising or commercial purposes are prominent
  • f. When the content causes religious or political disputes, and it is judged that such disputes disrupt or are likely to disrupt the Hospital's business operations
  • g. When it violates relevant laws, such as the Information and Communications Network Act, Copyright Act, etc.
Article 14 (Attribution of Copyright and Restrictions on Use)
  • (1) Copyrights and other intellectual property rights for works created by the Hospital shall belong to the Hospital.
  • (2) Users must not use information obtained through the homepage for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use it by reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other methods without the prior consent of the Hospital.
Article 15 (Dispute Resolution)
  • (1) The Hospital and users shall make all necessary efforts to smoothly resolve disputes arising in connection with the Service.
  • (2) The Hospital shall prioritize processing complaints and opinions submitted by users. However, if rapid processing is difficult, the user will be notified of the reason and the processing schedule.
Article 16 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
  • (1) Any lawsuit concerning a dispute arising between the Hospital and a user from the use of the Service shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Hospital's address.
  • (2) Lawsuits filed between the Hospital and users shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Addendum
  • (1) These Terms and Conditions shall apply from May 30, 2014.
